Golden Flowers
When I was younger, my paintings were full of dreams and mystery. I dug deep inside my psyche to entertain myself, to review my own reflections, and to learn about my identity and its relationship to the world. I did not like to paint trees or flowers. They seemed so ordinary and boring to me at the time. It is ironic to find myself painting trees and flowers these days. Now I like to sit under a tree on a hill overlooking a field of wild flowers. I watch as the wind blows upon the willow tree and the branches dance in its breeze. It's like sitting in the theater and watching hundreds of ballet dancers floating around in the field. I see the blades of grass passionately sway and caress one another in hypnotic movements. I see the wild daisies catch the sunlight like a group of happy children laughing and playing untamed in the field . These simple trees and flowers are much more beautiful than anything I ever imagined. I buried the death of my ego underneath the bed of flowers so I could see her beauty.
