Artist Ken Kantro has a deep love of nature and the natural world. Living in Maine since 1975, he has the privilege to know the North Atlantic coastline very well, and draws much inspiration from its landscapes and residents. From the outset, he has been inspired by the transformative power of art and the powerful process of creating jewelry and objects of beauty from the elements found in the earth. When silver, gold and pewter are turned into molten states, they assume fluid properties that can be molded and shaped in ways limited only by one's imagination and creativity.
