The creation of each piece begins with a flat sheet of metal, shaped using a sheet metal brake. The colors emerge organically from the copper itself, capturing nature through the application of salts and acids, resulting in captivating patinas.My process is a blend of many disciplines, incorporating techniques acquired through formal studies. However, both the artwork and the unique process behind it are entirely original, evolving through years of personal exploration.
Some tooling marks and sanding marks may be present in this work. You will notice that all of the copper colored metal has a satin like appearance; this is intentional and all scratches are beneath the surface of lacquer. All of the artwork is painstakingly hand formed, not machine made and is, by nature, imperfect.
