The Montana Silversmiths story starts in 1973, on the majestic banks of the Yellowstone River. Our company started out providing high quality custom trophy belt buckles for rodeos and other Western events. This craftsmanship fueled a passion to create distinctive and authentic products. 

Buckles created the foundation for the company and allowed for the expansion into jewelry and accessories. “The Art of the Buckle” has been translated by our skilled artisans adding a level of quality, craftsmanship, and unique detail that makes Montana Silversmiths a leader in the industry.

We take inspiration from the spirit, drama, and romance of the West, creating both jewelry and buckles of meaning and beauty.  Our artisans continually work to stay ahead of the competition, creating distinctive buckles and jewelry while exploring the horizon for new ways to update classic styles with a fresh, modern appeal.
